QUICK OUT OF THE G8
Iowa has been speedy in their rush to fill the 2013 class.
Let's compare the Hawkeyes to their conference brethren.
IOWA = 8 commits.
INDIANA = 0 commits.
MINNESOTA = 1
NORTHWESTERN = 1
PURDUE = 1
WISCONSIN = 3
ILLINOIS = 5
NEBRASKA = 5
MICHIGAN STATE = 7
PENN STATE = 8
OHIO STATE = 13
MICHIGAN = 17
So there you have it. Only 2 schools in the B1G have more commits than Iowa! And honestly, I don't know if it's a positive to fill a class before they have even started their senior year. You want to fill some scholarships with kids who have matured into something special as a senior. It's nice to get kids who have shined as juniors/sophomores, but sometimes players peak early and you don't want to ignore the kids who show a 3 year improvement arc versus a 2 year improvement arc. Overall the 2013 class is shaping up to maybe be Kirk's best ever!
