This was another big recruiting weekend for Iowa. Banquet - basketball game - Norm's presser - bowl preparation - hosting a bunch of 2012 recruits. A busy weekend would be an understatement.
Thankfully the basketball team held up their end of the bargain. Don't think it doesn't help to have those visitors watch Iowa perform as a "team" on the hardwood. It was the legacies (Gatens/Marble) and the local boys (Gatens/McCabe) who made sure Iowa didn't earn the label of the worst D-1 basketball program in the state.
The win also transported Iowa's season from non-winning to winning - tho that may be temporary, only time will tell.
